Sodankylä is situated at the heart of Finnish Lapland. A hub for scientific discovery, Sodankylä is the home of Sodankylä Geophysical Observatotory housing Finland’s largest radar dish, as well as The Arctic Research Centre of the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the mining unit of the Geological Survey of Finland.
